    Folder I
      A - Clipping - The National Assembly investigates General Covaignac's suppression of the Paris
      revolt of 1847 - 1848.

      B - Clipping - An appeal to the citizens to support the Army, and a promise to later restore civilian democratic rule by General Covaignac.

      Folder II

      A - Clipping - The proclamation of the provisional governemtn which seized Paris in 1848. The provisional government sought ot establish a new republic.

      B- The provisional governement presents its justificiaiton for suspending the "Garde Nationale" and ordering new electons.

     

    Folder III

      A - The June 1848 insurgents ar detained and pamphlets are issued calling for their release.

      B - The file contains a lsit of 3,423 prisioners imprisoned for their activities in the June 1848 uprising.

      C - Songs praising the political prisoners sentenced in June 1848 by General Covaignac.

      D - A defence and request for amnesty for political prisoners, addressed to the president of the National Assembly.

      C - The results of the elections of 1848 and the new memebers of the French National Assembly.
