Baltimore Heritage Collection       ( BH)

Records in this collection relate to advocacy of preservation issues, preservation and restoration projects, and heritage education in Baltimore City. Baltimore Heritage, Inc. is a non-profit organization established in 1961 to address the issues of:

  1. The preservation and enrichment of Baltimore’s built heritage – the fabric of monuments, parks, streets and neighborhoods;
  2. The conservation, restoration and use of Baltimore’s architectural and historical landmarks;
  3. The building of a preservation constituency which recognizes Baltimore’s rich architectural and historical legacy and insists upon its retention for future generations;
  4. The involvement of Baltimoreans in all facets of historic preservation from advisory roles to hands on projects.
