Cartographic records

This series is made up of cartographic records acquired with BCP I, BCP II, BCP IV, and BCP VII. Starting with BCP VIII, cartographic records received with a collection are numbered the same as that collection (e.g. cartographic records which were acquired with BCP IX are numbered BCP IX). All oversized cartographic records are kept on special shelving, and not with the rest of the collection.

All of BCP V, except for rolled maps, have been filmed on 35mm slides for easier access.* The charts in BCP IX have also been photographed on 35mm slides. This process enables the researcher to view oversized, fragile, and hard to handle materials easily. Prints of these slides are available upon request at the researcher's expense.
